Lee was an art scholar, a trained architect and since he qualified in 1990, his profession has taken him to living and working in Australia, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. All through that time he has painted, mostly in his favourite medium of watercolour with historic buildings and urban landscapes as the key subject. However, in 2021 he returned from overseas after nearly 17 years and based himself in the village of St Issey in Cornwall where he discovered the amazing, beautiful and rugged coastline, harbours and villages. Inspired by his new surroundings Lee is now exploring and diversifying into mixed media within his artwork.
